cold-mixed reclaimed asphalt pavement, as the name suggests, is produced using recycled materials. The raw material consists of reclaimed traditional asphalt AC residue, combined with interface agents, retarders, water-based photocuring resins, etc., and undergoes cold mixing to produce a new type of asphalt that values and maximizes resources.

Cold mix new aggregate no longer uses traditional old asphalt as the raw material. Instead, it adopts natural aggregates such as sand and stone, which are screened to obtain particles of different sizes through vibration, then recombined according to design, proportions, weighing, etc. Finally, it undergoes cold mixing with binders and environmentally friendly agents to achieve a raw material that is truly non-toxic and harmless.

Asphalt mixtures are classified into three types based on different mixing temperatures: hot mix, warm mix, and cold mix. Among them, cold mix is typically mixed at temperatures ranging from 16°C to 35°C.

By employing foaming or emulsification techniques, the cold-mix method requires no aggregate heating during the blending process, thus reducing the environmental impact caused by heat emissions.

Cold-mix recycled asphalt concrete exhibits superior workability and can be stored for up to 24 hours after production.

Compared to traditional techniques, significant reduction in construction time can be achieved, resulting in early opening to traffic.

It can be used as a material for road subbase improvement or backfilling during road pipeline excavation, with a material strength twice that of traditional aggregate subbase, thus enhancing road load-bearing capacity.
